Information

260 of the world’s elite pistol and rifle shooters will compete in the International Sport Shooting Federation (ISSF) World Cup event, to be held at the Sydney International Shooting Centre, March 21-28.

Sydney’s event will be the first of four ISSF World Cup events in 2010 ahead of the World Championships in Munich, 29 July – 11 August.

World class shooters representing 26 countries will be taking part in the week long event.

A mix of youth and experience will form the 28 member Australian Team. World Cup winners Warren Potent (NSW) and Russian born Lalita Yauhleuskaya (VIC) are Australia’s best hopes for medal finishes, whilst teen sensations John Coombes (NSW) and Singapore resident, Edwin Gouw, will be looking to gain valuable experience at international level.

India, China, the United States and the Czech Republic have all sent Olympic medalists and World Champions to the event.

Be sure to drop in and see some fierce action throughout the week.
