Following on from the much talked about success and rave reviews of his performance with the Sydney Symphony in late 2009, piano sensation Alexander Gavrylyuk will be at City Recital Hall Angel Place on Saturday 24 April at 7.30pm.
Considered one of the world’s top pianists, Alexander will perform a transfixing program of thrilling works by some of the greatest romantic composers including Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninov, Stravinsky, Bizet and Horowitz.
His repertoire includes one of Beethoven’s most famous sonatas “Pathétique”, Chopin’s delicate Nocturne in D flat major and the show stopping “Carmen Variations” by Bizet and Horowitz.
Bronwyn Edinger, City Recital Hall Angel Place General Manager (and co-presenter of this recital with Andrew McKinnon Presentations) says Gavrylyuk’s only Sydney performance promises to be “nothing short of spectacular.”
